LA Guitar Sales 20th Anniversary Model

First of all I'd like to congratulate Ted and Helene for doing so much for the guitar community. I know that I've done my part to keep them in business, and they've done their part to keep me supplied with fine guitars. As for the Eastman custom shop, I'd suggest an Eastmanized Martin 000-15sm. This would feature the following:

000 or OM body
Full mahogany with burst top - Eastman does some of the best-looking bursts in the business
12 fret
1 3/4" nut with 2 1/4" string spacing
Short Scale
Full gloss
Solid headstock

Congrats to LA Guitars! 20 years is amazing, and something we should all aspire to. It isn't easy. Can't wait to see what you guys come up with. These projects are so much fun, but also so much work.

Thanks, John. I love customs, in fact most of our Martin orders are custom shop models. Not sure if Eastman will let us have exactly what we want but I'm excited they are allowing some custom options once again.

Congrats on 20 years. I bought my first Eastman from you in 2020, an E6OM. You were great to work with and recommend you and TAS for any Eastman inquirer.

I would love to see these models:

- 12 fret all mahogany OM/000 (Martin 000-15sm style)
- L-00 13 fret deep body. Or 12 fret

It came to me in an epiphany - how about an E5SS all mahogany. I think this would be like the original Gibson LG-0s but x-braced in lieu of the ladder bracing. And of course - 1.75" nut with 2.25" spacing at the saddle and a medium C - not too fat and not too skinny. Now that I would buy.

PS- No Ping tuners. Go with Gotohs.

Good question probably Mahogany since that would get the most interest from folks. I love my E10SS/V but I hope the 12 fretter would change things up enough to keep both. I had an E20D-TC and didn't get along with it so I traded for an AC622 (which is fantastic). Not sure if it was the rosewood or the torrefaction but that E20 always sounded a bit off to me.

Now that I think of it I don't know of any 12 fret slope shoulder with maple back and sides, and I do love my Eastman maple guitars (AC 622 and AC630-SB). So an Adi/Maple 12 fret SS with varnish finish and a 1.75 nut would be quite unique and would probably sound wonderful. As is, Im tempted to try the E16SS.
