Dan, sorry we are hijacking your FS thread.
Alan, no plans to break up the shop. But if we decided to move (esp. internationally), then I'd take the opportunity to scale down. I'm a minimalist in most aspects, so this guitar collection is somewhat "out of character" for me.

I got more interest, questions on this guitar than any guitar I've sold. Had three guys right on the edge of buying at 2pm yesterday. Finally sold at 3 for my price. Luckily the guy lives in SF so shipping cost didn't become an issue. I was exhausted at the end of the day
Down to 2 and 1/3 of the way towards being able to buy a 000.

Dan you basically already own two 000. Regarding Martin models over the years one of major differences between a OM and 000 is scale length, OM's long scale (25.4 or there about), 000 short scale (24.9). Also 000's historically had narrower string spacing (1 11/16") and OM's have 1 3/4". Over the years the lines have been blurred and both models have had many changes. One of the great examples of a 000 is Martin's Eric Clapton 000-28EC, based off his 1939 000-28 which he played on his 1992 MTV Unplugged show.

So many similarities and yet like no to of the same models/makers are exactly the same I'm imagining that the path that another builder has taken to get to the same place results in a completely unique example of that form. I may find on the journey that I can be satisfied with what I have but I also believe that I will find something uniquely different that I may like.

Oh, I know not where the journey leads and therein lies the adventure!

And I might well be interested in that 'extra' E40D you have. But I agree with Alan; I rather see you keep your collection complete!

Congrats on the sale (and glad someone got to it before me, LOL). As SB Tom mentions, the Eastman OM are a Martin 000 body/scale, just with different voicing.
And since it came up, my E40OM is very close spec-wise to EC's 1939 000-42 from the MTV Unplugged session. Doing a quick search, I just learned that Stephen Stills gave that guitar to Eric Clapton in 1970. Wow!
