What Yr Eastman Made off Serial Number?

Does anyone know how to read the year made off an Eastman Serial Number 130520002 ? Would this have been made in 2013?

Billy, I have no idea how Eastman does their serial#s.  Many companies go through evolutions based on which factory, or whatever.  Maybe a dealer like Acoustic Shoppe (John) can help.... help, help

I don't have a definitive answer, but my understanding is that the serial number logic has changed over time, and the year is not necessarily tied into the number. For example, my E40D was made in late 2016, but has a SN# beginning with 1375xxxx.

I've had an interest in trying to learn more about the history of their guitar making (models, years, SN#s, etc.), but certainly no time to do it. A friend on other boards (Dave F., aka CTGull) has done amazing jobs archiving the same for Yamaha and Seagull guitars.
