T 486B volume issues
#1
Hi everyone!

I'm new to the forum. Just got my new T486 and am blown away. Amazing sound and voicing. Feels like a much more expensive guitar. After several months of usage, the volume out to my amp drops considerably. From ideal volume to 1/4 output.

I'm going to have it looked at, however just wondering if anyone else has experienced this?

Steve , welcome to Eastman .
Did it always do it ?
Is there any scratchiness to the potentiometer ?
If you slightly shake the guitar does it loose volume or get louder ?
If you toggle the switch do you notice any noise or crackling?
If you play with the input track with the cable plugged in put a little pressure on the cable does it break up or cut out?
Hopefully that'll start to help you diagnose it

I love these Eastman's and totally agree with you . Especially the thinlines and hollow body's seem like much more expensive instruments
