New with my T64v
#1
Hello everyone! I am new to this forum. I started my story with Eastman in 2015 with a T386, I have many gigs and jams with it but I had an impossible problem with the neck and I sold it. It was a good guitar. (I have a lot of guitar at home). I bought myself an Epiphone Casino and that convinced me that this guitar format was ideal for me (size 16, Dog ear P90, and lightness). But the Epiphone MICs are well made but not with good quality woods. So I was looking for a high-end 330. And I tried a T64v, a Casino US, and a Gibson 330. The quality of the T64 surprised me and I fell in love with its neck. I left the store with the T64v Red Eastman. I haven't changed the strings yet, usually I play with flat wounds. I have the Lollar pickups, the guitar is from 2022. The Lollar sounds are really excellent but I also have a pair of SD Antiquity in my Epiphone Casino, I want to try the Antiquity to find out what the pickups are which I prefer on the T64v. Well, I've already said a lot of things. I am happy to join the Eastman community again. And finally I would say that the T64 is really a very good version of the ES 330/Casino.

Hi Room135 and welcome to the club! A red T64/v is certainly something to behold - a couple of pics would be good. As a matter of interest what kind of music do you play? Good to have you on board and please do hang around for the chat.

Welcome to EGF!  The T64v is a fantastic guitar.  As Alan mentions, please tell us a little more about yourself, if you choose.   Hope you enjoy the forum.

Hello, I am happy to share with you my experience with my new T64v Eastman. I live in Paris in France. I am a music teacher in colleges with students from 11 to 15 years old. And my passion remains music, and especially jazz improvisation. I play jazz standards with my friends but also in some jams in Parisian bars. I also continue to take jazz-music lessons with absolute masters of this music. I have Antiquity SD microphones in my drawers, maybe I'll try them to hear the difference with the Lollar. But for the moment I find the Lollar excellent. They are in A5 while the Antiquity are in A2. I think the Lollar are more modern than the Antiquity. I will have to try one day. I am posting some pictures for you.

A belated welcome to the EGF Forum, Room135!

Beautiful guitar!  If I were in the market for a new electric, I would certainly be checking out these Eastman Electrics first.  I used to own an Epiphone Casino, and currently own two Telecasters: a Fender American Standard at my home in Canada, and a Squire Classic Vibe in my holiday home in Thailand.

Enjoy your T64V!

Since this is the "Intro" area, can you share what Room135 means?  Is it the classroom number, where you teach?  Or some other meaning?   Smile
