I'm up to two jazz chords now, think I'm ready for the big time?
Guess it's back to Skip James blues, going for a drink of water at the moment. Smile

Hey Bert - wow -- is that yours?  A beauty!  I can imagine the tones from that must be amazing.

It's a life goal of mine to eventually get a little better at jazz guitar/chords.  They sound so nice on an acoustic.

By the way, the best website I personally found for learning Jazz guitar is this one:

By the way Bert - any chance you have recorded any audio or video of the guitar?   Smile   Would love to give it a listen!

This was from a couple years ago, just happened to have it handy. My pic is of an AR604 while at MapleStGuitars from a couple years ago.

Wow! Absolutely stunning. If I owned it, I'd just stare at it when I wasn't playing it.

Thank you for sharing.

Bert - well done!  I can hear that sweet jazz tone coming from the Eastman, sounds great.  Nice vocals as well.  Thanks for sharing!

Eastman archtops are great for many types of music, not just jazz... I don't play jazz but love the tone, same with my Yairi classical.  Not for cowboy chords for sure but, too many boxes are drawn around instruments imo.

Classical guitar is supposed to be played sitting on the left  leg (for right handed), played with bare fingers, and held only in a certain way.  One of the all time great classical players Tony Mottola played with the guitar on his right leg and used a 'PICK'... total heresy to the purest but not to the people who love and buy music.
