Interesting!  Looks really well made with a nice bit of Rosewood. They might have had a few pieces of off-cut to utilize? Eastman build instruments like Bach wrote music - never anything they would wish to disown.

So after posting this originally on a CL ad across the country from me, low and behold, I see another one listed just a few miles from where I live!

I don't think I would buy this...but if it were a baritone I'd probably have snatched it up already.  But I am posting this in case anyone is interested in it.  I'd be happy to help you make the transaction in person and then ship to you with assumption that you would just reimburse me through paypal or other.  This is a great forum with great people...would be happy to help any one of you out if you were interested.

PS.  The author of this posting incorrectly lists the tonewoods as rosewood and mahogany.  This appears to be mahogany over mahogany to these eyes.
