All - I created a better search function for the forum using the power of Google indexing. You can use the tool here:

Hi folks - bumping an old thread so everyone is aware: In addition to the built in forum search functionality, I've also set up a custom EGF search using Google's search algorithm capabilities, which I've found to be very quick and could be useful as another search tool for users looking for prior discussions on the forum. Please see the first post if interested.
