Bridge pins - ztevie - 09-07-2024

Hi!
New here, just pulled the trigger on a AC422.
Went through the specs and was surprised by one thing.
Seems like the 322 and 422 has plastic bridge pins while 122, 222 and all the models above 422 has ebony? I would assume ebony is an upgrade over plastic so why the inconsistency for the AC series?

My AC222CE came with bone bridge pins and my AC422CE came with ebony bridge pins.  My PCH1-D came with plastic bridge pins that I replaced with bone.

Yes, I sent the question to Eastman support and they confirmed that it's written wrong on their website. It's ebony for the 322 and 422...

i don't mind the ebony pins, but the bottoms flare out and lose material. i switch to bone for that reason.

but all bone is not good. i got a set off amazon that were horrible. they totally made my e1om sp sound like it was underwater. i ended up wit the crosby onea. they are the correct size and sound fine.
