Eastman E40D SB - Realname - 10-13-2023 Dear All, I am looking for E40D SB guitar. Any info is greatly appreciated. Thank you. Greetings. RE: Eastman E40D SB - Winfielder - 10-14-2023 Welcome to the forum I have an E40Dsb that I bought off of reverb about 4 years ago. It's an awesome instrument, I highly recommend getting one. Big, full, rich sound. I liked it so much that I bought a 2nd one about a year later with a natural top, so now I have one of each. Here are the pics from that old reverb ad: https://reverb.com/item/31303672-eastman-e40d-40-series-adirondack-spruce-rosewood-dreadnought-2010s-sunburst You can't tell in those pics, but the bridge pins tilt toward the soundhole. When I pulled them out, I found that they were partially wrapped in aluminum foil. I asked a local guitar tech about it and showed him the guitar, and he thinks the pins aren't fitting the slots correctly (too loose on the bottom), and that I need to find/install a set that fits better. I don't know if the previous owner had swapped in some misfitting aftermarket bridge pins, or if he enlarged the holes, or if there was a problem with the stock pins, or what. So I don't know if that issue is common for E40Dsb guitars, or if it's just a quirk of mine. My E40Dnat doesn't have that issue. Btw, I see there's one for sale on reverb right now: https://reverb.com/item/73326829-eastman-e40d-sb-2020-sunburst They're asking $1,800 + $150 shipping |
