Long story short, I purchased a T59V two years ago. I loved everything about it except for the size of the body so I eventually sold it. To fill the void, I went out on a limb and purchased a D’Angelico mini dc xt. While it was a great guitar for the price, mine had quite a bit of neck dive and the bridge pickup was hotter than I prefer in a semi-hollow. I knew I wanted to get back to Eastman due to their superior build quality and top shelf components. I recently purchased a T484 and I could not be happier. The guitar is incredibly versatile and sits in a mix so well. The SD Jazz/59 combo is more my speed and more importantly, the neck dive problem is gone. What an incredible bang for the buck! For anybody seeking a 339 or simply wanting the 335 vibe in a smaller package, look no further. I personally love the snap of the maple/ebony combo and it can cover so many bases with a little tweaking of an amp setup. Hope somebody finds this helpful in the event they are in the same boat!

First, sorry to drag up an old thread. But, I just joined this board so I didn't see your post beforehand. I have to echo the sentiments about the 484. I just took delivery of one yesterday and after a fret polish, fretboard treatment and fresh strings all I can say is WOW! This guitar plays and sounds so good through my Supro Delta King 12. The '59 and Jazz HB's are so sweet. More compact body than a 335 but sounds just as incredible to my ears.
