Something along the lines of a long scale slope shoulder.
Like a Gibson Advanced Jumbo.
With a long saddle rectangle bridge please!
But with ebony board and bridge.

Now that Martin won't do those great 15 series models that you had, suggest to Eastman to do a couple of all mahogany models to see how they will be accepted. I like your 18 series all mahogany models. I guess it is the cheapest or I mean inexpensive and the only way to get Martin to build custom all mahogany model. Congrats on 20 years.

Hey Tom, sorry for the super late reply but I didn't see a notice. Yea, we really miss those 15 series customs, I think we had well over a hundred on order when we got the news that they will never arrive. We do offer all Mohogany 18 series custom Martins that folks love, but obviously they cost a bit more.
As for our custom 20th anniversary Eastmans, we decided on the 00 slope based on the Gibson LG models, similar to the custom run we did a few years ago, but we opted for premium figured Mahogany back and sides, Thermo Cured Adi top, Ivoroid binding and Vintage Varnish finish. Took about a year but we finally got a few in and they are wonderful.
I've always been a huge fan of the Gibson LG2, but other than a custom shop version with Adi top and hide glue construction, most of mine were just ok. I'm thinking the last one of these 20th anni models we get in will end up in my personal stable.

Congratulations on getting some in Ted. I will post some pics and first impressions once I receive mine next week. I am stoked! (Yes pun intended)

Good looking guitar. Do we know the nut width - 1 11/16"? I take it the 'vintage varnish' finish is a distressed poly finish (essentially Truetone Vintage aka /TV) and different to Eastman's antique varnish finish (/V) which is shellac - not a problem by the way. I would very much like to get me hands on one for an hour or two (unlikely). I look forward to your review Tom - one of your best please.

Thanks, Tom, do let us know what you think. I think they turned out incredibly well, but I might be a bit biased.
Alan, 1-3/4” nut, although Eastmans do tend to run a hair below that. I played one alongside one of my custom Martins with 1-3/4” nut and felt no difference. The finish is hand plied varnish, not truetone, so very resonant.

Ted - thanks for the info. A 1 3/4" nut and shellac finish makes for a VERY interesting guitar. And only 20 to ever be made - definitely has the making of a classic! Can't wait for a review.
