First attempt at studio recording

Hey all - following on this thread here (https://www.eastmanguitarfans.com/Thread...preference) - thought I'd share my first attempt at acoustic guitar recording with Logic Pro.

This is a cover of a song called Hymn of Heaven. I recorded it using a portacapture X6 (https://tascam.com/us/product/portacapture_x6/top) straight into Logic Pro on my macbook. Added some compression, eq and reverb. I'm using my Breedlove acoustic for this one.

For my first time I think it turned out ok - but still learning. Appreciate any feedback on the mix from anyone more experienced! Thanks for listening

Tim -- very nice. I've no problem with the mix, but would it have been more interesting to see you playing the tune rather than the 'stock' artsy video footage you used?

Steve - agree with you! I had two takes and had to fix / punch in the second half and didn't have the camera rolling this time around while learning Logic Pro. Next time!
